Empowering Chemistry Students at Obafemi Awolowo University

ACSOAU was formally established on January 12, 2018, under the auspices of the American Chemical Society’s student chapter program. The chapter emerged from a recognized need to provide OAU chemistry students with structured access to professional development opportunities, scientific literature, and a community of peers invested in academic excellence.
In the years since its founding, ACSOAU has grown steadily in membership, institutional influence, and programmatic reach. The chapter has organized and participated in a range of scientific activities including chemistry outreach programs, career development sessions, and collaborative research initiatives.
